  I attempted to bring my dependent (my little sister who I am the legal guardian of) into the USO at Royal Orchid. Apparently it is one of the best USOs out there and I wanted to show her the USO and how it benefitted military members and their families on Guam. The Duty Manager, Kenny, refused to let us in despite me explicitly telling him that she is a dependent and I am her legal guardian. We showed our IDs and it didn’t seem to matter. This didn’t seem to be a problem last time I brought her in on the offisland/mainland United States’ USOs we’ve been to. I understand that I am young sailor (18) and it would be hard to believe that I am taking care of my little sister all on my own, but that doesn’t negate the fact that I am trying my hardest to. I am just disappointed, I believed the USOs were for the military and their families. That “Military and Family first” attitude that I was so used to seeing in other USOs was not displayed in this one.

  Amazing. I was able to Skype with the family and it was a very friendly atmosphere.
